However, all experts are required to have E&O (Errors & Omissions) insurance. **Do I need specific qualifications to join the Paro network?** Specific qualifications depend on the service offering and current demand. **Does Paro offer 1099 or W2 opportunities?** Paro focuses on matching experts with remote 1099 contract opportunities. **Can I work outside the United States?** All experts must be based in the United States. We do not offer sponsorship or work with experts based in California or Massachusetts. However, experts can work from an international location as long as your business or LLC is based in the United States. This setup ensures compliance with U.S. regulations while allowing you the flexibility to work remotely from different locations globally. Just be sure to inform clients if you’re working from another country. **Is Professional Liability/E&O insurance required?** Yes, E&O insurance is mandatory for all experts on the platform. This insurance protects you from financial risks and enhances your credibility with clients. Paro partners with providers such as Bunker and Paychex to offer flexible coverage options. Many experts choose to have around $1 million in coverage, though there is no minimum requirement to work with Paro. **How do I find projects and opportunities?** You can always choose your own projects, and you will find opportunities in two ways. Paro’s AI-powered platform will automatically match you with best-fit opportunities based on your profile on an ongoing basis. Additionally, you can browse and pitch for projects on your own using the Opportunity Board within the platform. **How long does it take to get matched?** While the time to get matched can vary based on several factors, we aim for our experts to secure their first engagement within 30 days of joining the network. **Do I have to commit to a set number of hours to work?** Experts are generally expected to commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week. The maximum an individual expert can commit to is 40 hours per week, or up to 160 hours per month. **How do I get paid?** Experts are paid monthly in arrears. For example, work completed and billed for in September will be paid out in October. Payments are released from Paro to Stripe on the 15th of the month, and funds are typically deposited into your bank account within 2-4 business days, depending on your bank and any holidays. **What resources and support does Paro provide to experts?** Paro offers a structured onboarding process with learning paths powered by AI, personalized opportunities, and practice management tools that automate profile updates, SOW creation and billing.
